AutoStitch

AutoStitch

I took about 10 shots of the Santa Monica beach to create this 'Autostitched' panorama, unfortunately of the 10 pictures it only used about 6 to make the image. I think I messed up when I took the pictures in that I didn't quite match one section to the other. You need to overlap a bit more than I did. All in all very cool indeed.

Autostitch is the world's first fully automatic 2D image stitcher. Capable of stitching full view panoramas without any user input whatsoever, Autostitch is a breakthrough technology for panoramic photography, VR and visualization applications. This is the first solution to stitch any panorama completely automatically, whether 1D (horizontal) or 2D (horizontal and vertical).

Autostitch is built using cutting edge research from the AI lab at UBC, but it's incredibly simple to use! Just select a set of photos, and Autostitch does the rest: digital photos in, panoramas out. Try the free demo (for Windows) Not sure how long the demo lasts. Perhaps infinite!
